This CD includes a printable, color, image index as well as Macintosh and Windows Help information in Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format.
The Image Index is designed so you can print a color image index of all the graphics in this volume. Cliptures indexes are formatted to print on 8 1/2" x 11 paper so you can store them in a standard 3 ring notebook. This way, as your Cliptures library grows, you can store many indexes in a single notebook!
The Help file (included with the Image Index) is an important resource of information about the Cliptures graphics and how to use them with various different programs. If this Cliptures volume includes a KoolKat special edition catalog, there will be information and tips for using it as well.
The Image Index and the help information are both accessed through the main "Index.pdf" file on the CD.
To view or print the Image Index or help information, you need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. Acrobat Reader has become a very popular and common program for viewing computer documents. You may already have it installed, but in case you don't, we've included installers for Windows 95/98, Windows 3.1, and, Macintosh versions of it on this CD.
The Index.pdf file is compatible with Adobe Acrobat Reader version 3 or later. If you already have this, or a later version of Acrobat Reader, there is nothing you need to install to use the Index. If you don't have Acrobat Reader installed, or, you need to install a newer version, you can install it from this CD.
This CD includes Acrobat Reader, version 4, for both Windows 95 or later and Macintosh. It also includes Acrobat Reader, version 3, for Windows 3.1. An even later version may be available for free from Adobe's web site at: http://www.adobe.com
- Opening the Index.pdf File
After you install Acrobat Reader, you should restart you computer before trying to open the Index.pdf file. Once you've installed it and restarted your computer, you can open the Index.pdf file in one of 2 ways:
1. You may be able to start Acrobat Reader and open the index file at the same time by double-clicking on the file on the Cliptures CD called: Index.pdf
2. You can start Acrobat Reader, then from Reader's file menu, select the Open command, and then select the Index.pdf file on the CD.
The Help portion of the Index.pdf file has very useful information about all of the various formats of the Cliptures graphics and basic steps for using them with a variety of popular layout software programs.
We've also included the Help information in a separate text file on the CD called "Read Me 2" just in case you don't want to use Acrobat Reader and don't want a printed image index.
